Xbox Clarifies There Won’t Be Acquisition News at Tokyo Game Show

Following the news of the acquisition of Bethesda by Microsoft, the internet has been lit up by loud speculation about another acquisition announcement set for Tokyo Game Show.

Today Microsoft nipped the rumors at the bud by taking to Twitter to deny that possibility. There won’t be any acquisition news at the show.

That being said, there will be plenty to see from Microsoft and from other developers and publishers.

Microsoft’s livestream, which will be aired tomorrow at 9:00 PM Japan Time, will focus on Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Japanese Minecraft community, and a celebration of Japanese game developers and games. It won’t feature nex-gen news.
