Xbox Boss Phil Spencer: “Usage Up on Almost Everything;” Thanks Those Working to Keep Things Running

4 years 1 month ago

With the Coronavirus outbreak keeping people at home, entertainment and in particular video games can certainly help to make things a little less stressful.

Xbox division head Phil Spencer took to Twitter to comment on the fact that gaming is being used as a way to stay connected, and he’s proud to be part of an industry that can offer people a way to escape.

Asked about demand, Spencer also added that “usage is up on almost everything” and took the chance to thank those working hard to keep everything running smoothly.

You can read the tweets below.

If you’d like to hear more of Spencer’s vision, you can read his recent comments about the future of Xbox in Japan and more about his vision of the future of consoles, competition, and collaboration.

If you can forgive a personal note, I’d like to join him in thanking those at work to keep things running, not only at Microsoft but at every company in the industry and across the internet in general.

As you may know, I’m in Italy, and it’s thanks to them that I can still write news for you to read, and keep in contact with friends and family, which makes being locked at home a lot more bearable.
