Today CD Projekt RED released its consolidated annual report for 2019, and it included some interesting information about the sales of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

We learn that in 2019 digital sales for the game are higher in terms of percentage than they have ever been, reaching 82%.

The best-selling platform for the game remains PC, with 53% of sales. PS4 ranks second (26%), while Nintendo Switch (11%) barely overtakes Xbox One (10%) . That being said, we should keep in mind that the Switch version has been available only since October.

The Witcher 3 sold best in Europe, which generated 37.2% of sales in 2019, followed by Asia (27.9%) and North America (25,6%).

You can see all the relevant graphs below. Looking at the pillars, it appears that shipments in 2019 were just under seven million copies.

Interestingly, we also hear that both The Witcher and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings ” continue to attract players and generate revenues.”

It’s certainly impressive to see that the Witcher Franchise appears to be unstoppable, even thanks to the renewed visibility brought by the Netflix series, which will likely have extensive effects on sales in 2020 as well.
