The Witch also states to the girls that she had a coven of sisters, but unfortunately for us, doesn’t reveal why they are no longer around.
Something else worth mentioning is that the Witch has the ability to turn into a crow, as she is seen doing when she first attacks the sisters, before realizing that they are special. This is important because the very same crow design is seen in the film’s final moments, which seemingly confirms that the Witch has been able to stay alive for centuries and has been watching over the movie’s events. What exactly this means is unknown, but there is reason to believe that it is setting up a potential Hocus Pocus 3.
