Sonic has changed a lot throughout the years. But instead of permanently changing, Sonic can appear quite differently depending on the medium.
For example, in retro-style games, he’s a little chunky, has 100% more sass, and has black eyes. In modern games though, he has green eyes, is a bit more athletic and talks with a bit more attitude.
Then there’s, of course, the new movie version of Sonic and the Sonics that exist in the dark underground world of memes that we don’t speak of.
