Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu included an interview with Tales of Arise producer Yusuke Tomizawa, who offered more color on the game following the news from yesterday.

Tomizawa-san mentioned that the team is preparing to deliver more news in the near future and development is finally coming close to the final stage after recovering from the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Quality is being improved at a steady pace and the aim is to have a game that can be appreciated worldwide. Yet, that doesn’t mean that Japanese fans will be neglected. As JRPG developers, Bandai Namco continues to develop games that they can be proud of both in Japan and worldwide.

He also mentioned that a lot is being organized to celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary, even if he can’t reveal more for now. Yet, the second half of the anniversary year will be very exciting for the fans. He intends to continue pushing to grow the brand and start looking ahead to the next five years toward the 30th anniversary.

Tales of Arise was originally slated for 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but it was delayed due to the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

If you want to take a look at the game, you can enjoy the latest traileranother trailer in Englishsome screenshots and artwork, the first batch of images, and the original announcement trailer.

Stories handed down for generations became truth and masked reality for the people of Dahna. For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom.

Our tale begins with two people, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future. Featuring a new cast of characters, updated combat, and classic Tales of gameplay mechanics, experience the next chapter in the world-famous Tale of series, Tales of Arise.”
