Star Citizen Video Show Upcoming Alpha 3.10 Update as Crowdfunding Passes $302 Million

3 years 10 months ago

Today Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games released a brand new video of its growing space simulator.

Speaking of growing, the video focuses on the changes and features coming with the imminent Alpha 3.10 patch which should come in early July.

We get to take an extensive look at the new atmospheric flight mechanics and ship-to-ship combat, followed by the changes made to turrets and targeting.

After that, we get an overview of the rest of the features included in the update, and there’s quite a lot to see. We even get a tease of something that hasn’t been officially announced just yet.

You can check it out below. If you’d like to see more, you can also enjoy last week’s video.

In other Star Citizen news, the crowdfunding total has passed $302 million.

To be more precise, it’s over halfway to $303 million and it’s sitting on $302,747,553 at the moment of this writing.

The number of registered accounts is now over 2.7 million (currently 2,723,859).

As usual, it’s known that not all of them are paying players. The number includes free accounts created for a variety of reasons, including free fly events.

For the sake of full disclosure, the author of this article has been a Star Citizen backer since the original Kickstarter campaign several years ago, so you should keep that in mind while reading this article.
