Project Mikhail: A Muv-Luv War Story Gets New Video Revealing Future Updates

2 years 4 months ago

aNCHOR released the latest Producer Letter video about the action game Project Mikhail: A Muv-Luv War Story.

The video, presented as usual by producer Sho Hamanaga, focuses on explaining and showcasing the changes that will come starting with the major update in February.

The movement and targeting mechanics will be radically changed, while the developers are aiming to make dismantling parts easier. The option to switch between Japanese and English languages will also be added.

Hamanaga-san also explained the role of Project Mikhail within the larger Muv-Luv franchise.

We then hear possible routes for the expansion of the game’s multiplayer in the farther future, including the ability to work with allies to fight enemy TSFs. Voice chat is also planned.

Frontier Mode is also going to be changed to make the players’ impact on the outcome more evident. This should come three months after the improvement of the controls, and there is a possibility that it’ll require a shutdown of the current Frontier Mode.

You can watch it below.

The game is currently available via Steam Early Access and will be released on Nintendo Switch at the end of the early access phase. You can also check out the launch trailer.

If you’re interested in Muv-Luv in general, you should definitely read our recent interview with Hamanaga-san, in which he talked about Project Mikhail: A Muv-Luv War Story and the plans for the rest of the franchise.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Muv-Luv games, you can read my extensive article explaining all you need to know to get into one of the best visual novel series of all time.

Incidentally, now it’s the best time to jump into the series since pretty much everything is majorly discounted via the Steam Winter Sale.
