PAX 2021 Dates Announced; May Go Virtual if COVID-19 Risk Remains High

3 years 5 months ago

Conventions were either shut down or seriously altered across the board in 2020, but the PAX team is hoping to return to live events next year. Several dates for PAX 2021 have just been announced by the team on Twitter.

Here are the dates announced in the Twitter post:

  • PAX East: June 3-6, 2021
  • PAX West: September 3 – 6, 2021
  • PAX AUS: info coming soon
  • PAX Unplugged: December 10-12, 2021

These are prospective dates, meaning these 2021 PAX dates may change, or events may get canceled altogether. This all depends on the progression (or regression) of the COVID-19 situation.

This is part of what the team had to say in regards to revealing the dates at this time:

We’re announcing our dates now to help partners plan for the upcoming year on how they might attend as well as provide a chance to start conversation about how to bring attendees, panelists, exhibitors, and our broader community together with these events that are seven months away

If the risk remains high, the event may even go virtual, just as PAX West did this year, for example.

The optimism is there, but we’ll just have to wait and see when it comes to what will be safe.
