Today Microsoft and Asobo Studio released a new development update for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and it included the release date of the next major update.

We learn that Sim Update 4 will is planned to launch on Tuesday, May 25.

World Update 5, which will feature the countries of Northern Europe (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland) is confirmed for June without a specific release date. Sim update 5 will follow in July if everything goes according to Asobo’s plans.

Among the improvement planned for Sim Update 4 we see work on the Garmin avionics and autopilot, live weather, the excessive icing effect, turboprop engines, ATC phraseology, LOD and density issues for trees and water, the approach flightback bug, and more.

Recently, we published our massive interview with head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann, who provided a lot of new info about the present and future of the sim. Yesterday we also received lots of new details about upcoming content including two new aircraft and a world update focused on Nordic countries.
