Microsoft Flight Simulator F-22 Raptor Gets New Screenshots; WWII NAS Midway Released For Free

2 years 4 months ago

Third-party developers shared new images about an upcoming aircraft add-on on top of releasing a rather special scenery package.

First of all, Iris Simulations showcased new screenshots of its previously teased F-22 Raptor.

While it appears to be still work-in-progress, it’s another promising military jet for the sim.

We also get the release of Naval Air Station Midway by Skydesigners (who previously released an excellent Djibouti airport).

Two relevant elements make this add-on special. The first is that it’s Skydesigners’ first freeware add-on. The second is that it’s actually set in World War II, circa 1942.

We don’t get much scenery that isn’t set in the present day for Microsoft Flight Simulator, for obvious reasons. A few traditional exceptions are famous closed airports like Hong Kong Kai Tak or Chicago Meigs Field.

This is the perfect base for American World War II fighters and bombers and can be downloaded for free on Flightsim.to.

You can see what it looks like below.
