2 years 2 months ago

We’re finally getting new Mario Kart content! Well, sort of. During today’s Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is getting paid DLC called Booster Course Pass that will release eight courses at a time in six waves over the next two years.

Courses from games across the series, from Super Mario Kart all the way to Mario Kart Tour, will be remastered and added to the game. 48 courses will be added in total by the end of 2023.

Coconut Mall from Mario Kart Wii, Choco Mountain from Mario Kart 64, and Tokyo Blur from Mario Kart Tour will be among the courses added in the first wave.

All of these additional Mario Kart 8 Deluxe courses will be able to be played both locally and online.

You’ll be able to purchase the Booster Course Pass, which contains all six waves and 48 courses, for $24.99 as an individual purchase. If you are subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, you will be able to play the courses at no additional cost.

The first of six waves will be available on March 18, 2022. You can preorder the Booster Course Pass starting today.
