Jump Force Announced for Nintendo Switch & Shoto Todoroki Kicks Off Character Pass 2; Trailers Released

Today Bandai Namco had a couple of juicy announcements to make for fans of Jump Force and of the manga published on Weekly Shounen Jump.

First and foremost, the game is coming to the Nintendo Switch with its Deluxe Edition. It will be released on the hybrid console in 2020 with no specific release window announced at the moment.

Secondly, Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia will be the first of the heroes to be released in the second Character Pass.

He will be launched as DLC in spring 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and will also come to Switch when the port releases later this year.

The new character pass will include five characters, four of which remain unannounced. We do know that they are in order from Hunter X Hunter, YuYu Hakusho, Bleach, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

You can watch both announcement trailers below.

The Deluxe Edition will include the first character pass, which means that it’ll have over 50 characters out of the box, coming from 16 manga serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump.

The press release also included a bunch of screenshots, the box art, and a statement from Bandai Namco Entertainment America senior brand manager Stephen Akana.

“The casual pick up and play nature and multiplayer focus of JUMP FORCE Deluxe Edition lends itself perfectly to Nintendo Switch. The large roster of players, explosive battles, and new features means limitless fun for players.”

Jump Force is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you want to know whether it’s any good, you can read our review.
