The Idolmaster: Starlit Season Reveal Event Canceled Due to Coronavirus Emergency

4 years 1 month ago

Bandai Namco had a new reveal event for its upcoming rhythm/simulation game The Idolmaster: Starlit Season scheduled for April 19 but it has been canceled.

The announcement was made with a note on the official website of the game.

The note mentions that due to the declaration of the state of emergency by the Japanese government issued yesterday, the publisher determined that it would be difficult to do the livestream keeping in mind the safety of performers and staff involved. As a result, the decision to cancel the event was reached.

Bandai Namco apologizes to those looking forward to the news, and they’re now considering possible timeframes in which to deliver the info on the upcoming game to everyone.

At the moment, we don’t know when the next reveal will be but we’ll keep you posted as soon as Bandai Namco makes an announcement.

The Idolmaster: Starlit Season was initially announced back in January, and it’s scheduled to release in Japan in 2020 for PS4 and PC.

No western release has been announced, for the moment, even if the launch on PC could possibly facilitate a localization.
