Cake Bash Brings Hilarious Party Game Action to Consoles & PC Next Month

3 years 7 months ago

Developer High Tea Frog and publisher Coatsink have today revealed the launch date for their upcoming party game, Cake Bash. It’s set to launch on Oct. 15 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia for $19.99. A Nintendo Switch version is in the pipeline but isn’t quite ready, though it will be launching in 2020.

If you’ve not heard of Cake Bash, it’s a family-friendly multiplayer experience that offers several different modes suitable for children and adults alike, from co-operative fun to PvP action. That includes the Sweet Victory mode, a time-limited round that tasks players with covering themselves in sweeties; Fruity Pie, where players compete to hurl the most fruit into a pie; a battle royale mode called Fork Knife, and more.

If you’ve been enjoying games like Fall Guys recently, Cake Bash features a similar blend of fun, accessible gameplay wrapped in a whimsical, vibrant aesthetic.

Laura Hutton, Co-Founder of High Tea Frog said in statement:

‘We’ve worked hard to capture the joy from the special games we loved as children, and absolutely can’t wait to see players enjoying Cake Bash soon!”

For more on the game, you can read an interview Twinfinite conducted earlier this year with Laura Hutton, in which we discussed the aforementioned battle royale mode, designing Cake Bash’s culinary-inspired levels, and much more.

For a flavor of the action (mind the pun), there’s a new release date trailer to celebrate today’s announcement:
