Babylon’s Fall by PlatinumGames Won’t Get News This Summer; Development Going Well

3 years 9 months ago

Remember Babylon’s Fall by PlatinumGames and Square Enix? We finally hear something about it, even if it’s just the promise that development is going well.

Both the developer and the publisher have kept footage and details about the game close to their chest, so we don’t yet know much about it.

Yet, according to an announcement made today on Twitter, development is going well but the wording seems to indicate that the information previously planned for this summer will have to come at a later date.

You can check out the announcement below. The Japanese version of the announcement mentions specifically that the developers “would like to wait a bit” before they provide further news.

If you’re unfamiliar with  Babylon’s Fall, it was announced at E3 2018 for PS4 and PC. You can also check out the first gameplay trailer.

It’s in development at PlatinumGames and it uses a special “Brushwork Filter” that gives it its unique looks.

PlatinumGames is arguably one of the most popular developers in Japan, and it champions the action genre like no one else does.

In recent years, the developer has released masterpieces like Astral Chain and NieR: Automata, while we’re still waiting to hear more about Bayonetta 3.

The game certainly appears to showcase PlatinumGames’ DNA with plenty of absolutely over-the-top action that the studio’s fans will likely appreciate.
