Astria Ascending by Final Fantasy Writer & Valkyria Chronicles Composer Gets First Trailer; Also Announced for Xbox & PC

Today Dear Villagers and Quebec-based Artisan Studios revealed the first trailer and a few screenshots of the upcoming RPG Astria Ascending.

The game was revealed a few days ago on Famitsu for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. Yet, that announcement was for Japan.

Now that the game has been announced for the west, we learn that it’s also coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC. The release window, for now, is simply a generic 2021 and we also learn that it’ll come to Xbox Game Pass.

The story is written by Kazushige Nojima, who previously worked on Final Fantasy VII (Remake included), VIII, X, XIII, XV, Kingdom Hearts, and Kingdom Hearts II.

The music will be composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, known for the Valkyria Chronicles series, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Final Fantasy XII and Tactics, & more.
