How to Do the Honkai: Star Rail Jeweler’s Pagoda Bottle of Draconic Tears Task

11 months 3 weeks ago

How to Complete the Honkai: Star Rail Jeweler’s Pagoda Bottle of Draconic Tears Task

Honkai: Star Rail is unusual in that there can be little "mini" sidequests that are more like chores than actual missions that show up in your log. This means unless you interact with certain items, you might not notice the bonus is there. The Honkai: Star Rail Jeweler’s Pagoda errand from Pawnbroker Handian that involves a Dirty Mechanical Part, Iron Box, and Bottle of Draconic Tears on Xianzhou Luofu's Central Starskiff Haven is a good example. You won't happen upon it unless you're checking every store, and it's a good way to get a few extra Stellar Jade.

After grabbing for the Dirty Mechanical Part you can investigate and try to take at Jeweler’s Pagoda in Honkai: Star Rail’s Xianzhou Luofu Central Starskiff Haven area, Pawnbroker Handian will give you the item. They’ll then say to talk to the young man nearby ranting about revenge. He’s right in front of the shop at the location shown in the map below, next to the Space Anchor. Giving him the part gets you an Iron Box.

Which Gundam Anime Do You Most Recommend?

11 months 3 weeks ago

What’s the Best Gundam Anime

Mobile Suit Gundam anime adaptations have been stunning viewers for years. These aren't just shows about cool, big mechs using incredible abilities to attack each other. All kinds of political intrigue, moral conflicts, and incredibly human storylines get interwoven into these tales. It's amazing when you realize that, and also when you get to share these sorts of stories with others. So this week, we decided it's a good time for all of us to talk about and recommend some shows.

I'm completely enamored with Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. The characters are fantastic, with Suletta and Miorine are so much fun to watch. It's especially interesting how the first season works on setting the stage and building up lore, before the second really reminds us, "Oh, right, this is Gundam." The latest episodes do a lot, and it's one of the more enthralling entries I've enjoyed. It may still be ongoing, but it's shaping up to be one of the great ones! -- Jenni

The anime series that introduced me to the franchise were Gundam: The Witch from Mercury and Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, both of which I really hold dear, but the best I've seen to date must be the Gundam Thunderbolt movies. I never expected to actually feel fear because of a Gundam (there may be needed a trigger warning for some mature themes), but the realism, pacing, and style are just top-notch. -- Frank

Minabo: A Walk Through Life Is a Low-Stress Sim

11 months 3 weeks ago

Minabo: A Walk Through Life Is a Low-Stress Sim

Minabo: A Walk Through Life is an unusual sort of life sim. It’s a very low-stakes game, after all. There are really no penalizations for losing. The win conditions for the missions tend to involve trying to live your best life in various ways by getting to certain ages or forming certain relationships. It’s calming, in its way. However, that also can mean it feels very dry and repetitive since there aren’t many curveballs.

Minabo can come across like something of an experiment or learning experience, rather than a life sim, due to this execution. Every life begins with your turnip rising up from the ground as a bud to two parents. You then start your journey, first by pressing B on the Switch to crawl and eventually walk. You can select different other turnips, both related to you or strangers, to maintain your three needs. These are physical contact, intimacy, and belonging. By looking at their gauges, as well as your own, you can keep characters satisfied and extend their life expectancy. Keeping pace with certain characters can also help serve to deepen relationships, eventually allowing you to find best friends, partners, and raise a family.

Street Fighter 6 Fighters Crossover AKIBA

Japanese Twitch streamer and fighting games organizer Junichi Kagezawa, also known as Kagecchi, announced that the Fighters Crossover AKIBA (FCA) fighting games event will return alongside the release of Street Fighter 6. Previously, Street Fighter V FCA events have been held between 2016 and 2020 at the e-sports SQUARE Akihabara venue. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Kagecchi said that the FCA event was suspended due to scheduling problems with his day job and due to the launch of NTT e-Sports in 2020. However, Fighters Crossover AKIBA will return as a privately-led event from June 2023, coinciding with the release of Street Fighter 6.

Vampyre Cosmetics Will Release Silent Hill Makeup

11 months 3 weeks ago

Silent Hill make-up

Vampyre Cosmetics will launch a Silent Hill makeup collection some time in the future. According to the Silent Hill Twitter account announcement, it will feature imagery from the games. It’s unclear if we’ll see that in the design of the palette itself, in the colors, or in both aspects.

The Silent Hill games always featured a rather dreary gray aesthetic in the titular town. But once you’re in the Otherworld, things change. The red is dark and rusty, and the mold ranges from green to black. In saying that though, Vampyre Cosmetics does sell a variety of palettes with bright and vibrant shades. So you likely will have more choices than the games' color schemes. Vampyre Cosmetics also sold palettes in the past that resemble books. So there is the possibility that the palette will look like items such as the Lost Memories book in Silent Hill 2.

Vampyre Cosmetics is a brand that markets itself as a beauty disruptor, which bucks conventional beauty constructs for more individual ones. All of the products are vegan, cruelty-free, and talc-free. The company itself is owned by women, people with disabilities, and members of the LGBT+. It has had collaborations with Emily the Strange, Alice Cooper, and the Winchester Mystery House.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Shows More Can Be Less

11 months 3 weeks ago

Star Wars Jedi Survivor

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the kind of sequel that takes a good game and adds more. Of what? Of everything. More characters, more powers, more side activites and collectables. Being able to build upon the characters, mechanics and engine tech established by the first game has allowed developer Respawn to go fairly wild with new additions but, like an ageing Lucrehulk battleship lying in a swamp, Survivor begins to strain under its own weight.

For the uninitiated, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a third-person action-adventure game by Respawn Entertainment and a sequel to 2019's Jedi: Fallen Order. Jedi Knight Cal Kestis returns as the protagonist, having made peace with his trauma in the previous game just in time to receive a whole load more. Lightsaber combat and environmental puzzles make up the bulk of the gameplay, with collectable hunting providing a motivation to revisit previous levels with new abilities, metroid-vania style. Chasing collectables usually rewards cosmetics or one of several currencies to buy them, or else additional skill points to develop Cal's combat abilities.

Those who passed on the first game might wonder if it's necessary to start this one, and generally the answer is no. While the recap cutscene is a little disjointed, most of the details can be picked up either from context, conversations or the game's lore encyclopedia. However, if you're interested in this game at all, you might as well play them in order, since Survivor is mostly more of what Fallen Order did well.

A Helpful Honkai Star Rail The Preservation Trailblazer Fire Build Makes Them a Tank

11 months 3 weeks ago

Best Trailblazer The Preservation Fire Build in Honkai Star Rail

After you solve the problems in Jarilo-VI in Honkai: Star Rail, you get to build up a The Preservation Trailblazer who is a fire element character. They play quite differently than the Physical Trailblazer on The Destruction path we begin with. However, they’re equally helpful, and it’s pretty simple to find Trailblazer Light Cones and Relics that work with this fire build in Honkai: Star Rail.

What are the best Light Cones for a The Preservation Trailblazer build in Honkai: Star Rail?

One of the key elements of a The Preservation Trailblazer in Honkai: Star Rail is acting as a tank that draws enemy attacks. So, you want to stay alive. Some good three-stars are Amber and Defense. The former’s description for a card that hasn’t been Superimposed says, “Increases DEF of its wearer by 16%. If current HP of its wearer is less than 50% of Max HP, increases DEF by an extra 16%.” The latter is more about keeping the Trailblazer alive, as it restores HP by at least 18% of their max health when their Ultimate is used.

For four-star Light Cones, I like Landau’s Choice. It further makes a The Preservation Trailblazer a target in Honkai: Star Rail, but also decreases the amount of damage they take from enemies’ attacks by at least 16%. This is Me is also good. As its description reads, it, “Increases the wearer's DEF by 16%. Increases the DMG of the wearer when they use their Ultimate by 60% of the wearer's DEF. This effect only apply 1 time per enemy target.”

Here's the launch trailer for Idol Showdown, which begins with gameplay footage of the Hololive fighting game. Nintendo Showcases Mysterious Symbol in Tears of the Kingdom

11 months 3 weeks ago

Tears of the Kingdom Ultrahand symbol

Nintendo frequently shared screenshots showcasing new mechanics and elements that will appear in the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and the latest one features a mysterious symbol. The new screenshot posted on the official Japanese The Legend of Zelda Twitter account focuses on a mysterious looking stone door with a floating Ultrahand symbol found in one of the new Sky Islands.

The tweet in question shows Link in front of a stone door decorated with two dragon stone carvings that are projecting a symbol similar to that of Link’s new Ultrahand ability. The tweet is accompanied by a Japanese caption that translates to “We found something mysterious in one of the Sky Islands again. What is this mysterious pattern that stands out?”

The door and symbol are standing over a sand pool with perfect waves. This might indicate the location of a new shrine or hidden treasure, and the Ultrahand symbol might be a requirement to activate it. We won’t know for sure what this mysterious symbol is until May 12, 2023, when The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will come out.

How to View a Honkai: Star Rail Memory Bubble

How to View a Honkai: Star Rail Memory Bubble

As you go through Honkai: Star Rail, you might see a blue bubble called a Memory Bubble around. However, approaching one to investigate it won’t net any reaction early on. This is because you actually need to speak to one of Herta’s dolls on the station to figure out what’s going on. Fortunately, once you do go through the conversation, it’s easy to start reading through these events and picking up extra Credits.

I unlocked the ability to view any Memory Bubble in Honkai: Star Rail by talking with the Herta puppet in the Storage Zone. I was at Trailblaze level 21 when I finally got around to doing so. She’s standing at the point below, and you need to cross the light bridge to reach her. It’s the same puzzle found in "Signs of Fragmentum III". After you get to her and agree to the NDA, you'll get the ability to view any Memory Bybble in Honkai: Star Rail.
[gallery size="full" ids="961849,961992,961993" link="file"]

Actually checking one out is fairly easy. All you need to do is approach it and select "Touch the Memory Bubble." The screen will go back, and you'll be able to read through someone's experience on Herta Space Station. You'll then also get 1,000 Credits for your find. There are 20 total, adding up to 20,000 Credits. Finding them all gets you the Sensory Socialization achievement and five Stellar Jades.

Review: Redfall Fails to Deliver

11 months 3 weeks ago

Redfall Review

A small, provincial city is plagued with vampires and cultists, with all escape barred off by some strange supernatural force that overcame this previously quaint place. A ragtag group of heroes are the only thing standing between this bloodthirsty threat and the end of humanity as we know it. If it sounds like a mid-1980s B horror flick, that's because this is what Redfall is, and it doesn't pretend to be anything different. Bold in its approach that feels strangely steeped in nostalgia, it retreads old ground, but often stumbles over poorly implemented game mechanics that leave this game feeling unfinished and under realized. And while Redfall was delayed to its 2023 launch, it feels like this game could have spent more time in the oven.

Dan Heng’s Best Relic Sets and Light Cones Speed Him Up

11 months 3 weeks ago

Best Honkai: Star Rail Dan Heng Relic and Light Cone Build

Like March 7th, Dan Heng is a great, free, four-star Honkai: Star Rail character who can easily become one of your best assets with many different Relic sets and Light Cone builds. The thing with him is to remember two things. You want him to be as fast as possible so he attacks often. You also want him to be dealing a lot of damage.

What are the best Light Cones for a Dan Heng build in Honkai: Star Rail?

I’m going to go ahead and borrow a lot of my recommendations for Seele here, because Dan Heng works similarly. You want him attacking often. So Adversarial, a three-star Light Cone, increases his speed by 10% after each enemy he beats. I’d also go with Darting Arrow, as it boosts his attack by at least 24% temporarily after beating an enemy.

As a four-star option, I went with River Flows in Spring since it’s… all I have. It boosts Dan Heng’s speed by at least 12% and damage by 24% until he takes damage, but then brings that buff back after his next turn. The Only Silence Remains Light Cone with him actually on it is good too, as it at least increases his attack by 16% and, if there are one or two enemies around, increases his critical rate by at least 12%.

Genshin Impact’s A Parade of Providence is a Kaveh Showcase

Genshin Impact A Parade of Providence is a Kaveh Showcase

When we’ve seen Kaveh ahead of his playable debut in Genshin Impact, he hasn’t always been shown in the best light. Yes, we know he’s a talented architect and Akademiya scholar. But whenever we’ve seen him or heard him referenced, HoYoVerse tended to focus on his faults or more annoying qualities for the sake of humor. He let Dori take advantage of him while building The Palace of Alcazarzaray, leaving him bankrupt. He’s constantly quibbling with Alhaitham and getting worked up over things. However, while A Parade of Providence is a showcase giving many Sumeru characters their moment, this Genshin Impact especially is something of a Kaveh redemption piece.

Editor’s Note: There will be spoilers for the Genshin Impact A Parade of Providence event in the article below.

404 Game Re:Set Under Maintenance Due to Major Bug

404 game re:set maintenance header

404 Game Re:Set ran into a real-life 404 error, as Sega announced it is under maintenance to fix a major bug. Producer Gosuke Nakamura apologized for the inconvenience on the official website for the game. The maintenance should last until 5am JST of May 6, 2023. That would be 1pm PT/4pm ET on May 5, 2023.

The bug is affecting the Technical Department Dungeon Drop-up Campaign. Players are receiving an unexpected amount of Segacreds and materials, so Sega shut down the game to undergo emergency maintenance. Though the team has already discovered the root of the bug and fixed it, players have used the surge of Segacreds and materials to enhance their accessories. As a result, it has disrupted the balance and fairness of the game.

In order to fix the issue of game balance, Sega decided that it will roll back the game’s data, using a back-up from 2am JST of May 5, 2023. This means that we will lose any of the progress they made after that date. Sega states that this is to return the game to a state where everyone can enjoy it. It will issue reimbursements for affected players at a later date.

Monster Hunter Rise Interview Shares Canyne Design Details

11 months 3 weeks ago

Monster Hunter Rise Canyne Designs

Capcom revealed some behind the scenes details about the Canynes, also known as Palamutes, in Monster Hunter Rise. Designer Moeri Abe was interviewed as part of the company's ongoing Monster Hunter interview series.

In the interview, Abe talked about the initial discussions of designing the Canynes for Monster Hunter Rise. The initial concepts were inspired by falconers and their raptors, with the designs gradually softened to make them more friendly-looking. He also talks about how the ninja concepts of Monster Hunter Rise were incorporated into their designs over time.

There’s also a lot of discussion about how the whole Monster Hunter Rise team got involved in aspects of the Canyne and Palamute design. The team were often contributing to discussions around movement, particularly how their tails and ears wiggled. Many team members were eager to rub the Canynes’ bellies too, which got incorporated into the final game.

In addition to the Canynes themselves, Abe also designed the Palamute armor and supervised the modelling of them. His personal favorites include the Barioth X Set, Almudron X Set and Ludroth X Set.

Abe didn’t just work on the Canynes for Monster Hunter Rise. He also designed the Wirebugs and made concepts for Bishanten, Rakna-Kadaki and Crimson Glow Valstrax.

Here’s a Peek at The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Recipes

In both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, we can have Link cook recipes to make food to heal himself. To help get an idea of what to expect, Nintendo Europe’s Twitter account shared a peek at the Recipe Book present in the game. It offered a clear look at three of the recipes Link can cook and the food he can make from them.

Here’s the official tweet. The three The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom recipes shown all a rather substantial amount of hearts for Link. The Steamed Mushrooms is the most “healthy,” as it restores seven hearts if he cooks two apples, two greens, and a mushroom. Also beneficial is the Meat and Seafood Fry, which will refill six hearts if you cook two fish and a piece of meat, then eat it. Finally, there’s a Pepper Steak that restores five hearts. It appears to need meat, a spicy pepper, an onion, and an acorn. All three recipes also appeared in Breath of the Wild.

Young Tifa Loved Sandals and Dresses in FFVII Remake

11 months 3 weeks ago

Young Tifa FFVII Remake

May 5, 2023 is Children’s Day in Japan, and so Square Enix shared some details on the character design for young Tifa in Final Fantasy VII Remake (FFVII Remake) with us. We can see the concept art and in-game renders of her when she was eight and thirteen years old. At both ages, she wore feminine dresses as opposed to the more sporty wardrobe she has as an adult.

When she was eight years old, Tifa wore a white dress. The dress has pockets, which is designed to make it very convenient for her. She also shows off her fashion sense in wearing socks with her lace-up sandals. At thirteen, she graduated to wearing no socks with her sandals, which now have a higher heel. She also foregoes pockets, though she doesn’t have a bag with her to carry any items. Tifa consistently wore her hair loose when she was young. Since the low ponytail she has as an adult keeps her hair out of her way when fighting, the hairstyle might be due to practical rather than fashion reasons.

In Japan, Children’s Day is the final day in Golden Week. Originally, it was only a day for boys but the country has since expanded the definition to include girls as well. On Children’s Day, families fly koinobori (carp-shaped windsocks), display miniature Japanese armor and dolls, and eat kawshiwamochi and chimaki.

Splatoon 3 Legend of Zelda Splatfest Art Shared

11 months 3 weeks ago

To remind people that the Splatoon 3 The Legend of Zelda Splatfest is this weekend, Nintendo released themed Deep Cut character art.

Ahead of ever Splatfest in Splatoon 3, Nintendo tends to release special art inspired by the event, and The Legend of Zelda one is no exception. The official Twitter account shared art of the three members of Deep Cut fighting it out. As is usual, each one is supporting a side in this Triforce-themed crossover. It serves as both a celebration of the event and a reminder that it is taking place May 5-7, 2023.

As we might expect, this is due to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launching on the Nintendo Switch in May 2023. Shiver is tied to Team Power, aka Ganondorf. Supporting Frye means you back Team Wisdom and Zelda. Finally, Big Man is the representative for Team Courage and Link.

Nobel Prize Winner Didier Queloz Discusses Space in Honkai: Star Rail

11 months 3 weeks ago

honkai star rail space

HoYoVerse uploaded a video detailing how real-life astronomy plays into the worldbuilding of Honkai: Star Rail. Didier Queloz, who is a Swiss astronomer and physics professor at Cambridge, is the guest. He also won a Nobel Prize of Physics in 2019 when he, along with Michel Mayor, discovered the first extrasolar planet 51 Pegasi b.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-x7vGOdm9M

Queloz stated that he hopes that media can sneak in actual knowledge. This could not only educate its players, but also increase interest in science. In the past, for example, Jurassic Park inspired a paleontology renaissance. Due to the vast number of star systems, he suggests that there is the possibility that planets like the ones in Honkai: Star Rail (and by extension, any piece of sci-fi media) exist in reality.

La+ is not the only VTuber on a break. Fulgur Ovid of Nijisanji EN is also on a hiatus for health reasons. However, neither Nijisanji nor Fulgur himself confirmed the reason.

Buff Body Armor in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak.

Capcom just released a new Event Quest for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, and it will let you acquire the Buff Body layered armor. As the name suggests, this armor will showcase your hunter’s muscles. It almost makes our characters appear to be in swimwear. In addition, another quest to face a crown-sized monster and get is also live.

Check out the announcement for the new event quests available for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak here below.

https://twitter.com/monsterhunter/status/1653916144875577347?s=20

The name of the event quest to get the Buff Body armor in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak is "Hazard: Buffoon's Buff Baboon Swoon." You will need to claim it via the Courier and complete it by talking to the attendant at the Quest Counter. This challenge will put you against a gold-crown hazard Rajang in the Infernal Springs. However, you must be Master Rank (MR) 10 or higher to accept the quest.

Each successful encounter against the event’s Rajang will reward you with Buff Badges needed to craft the layered armor. You will need at least four of these badges to craft the full set. The Buff Body armor will be available as a craftable set by talking to the Smithy, selecting the “Forge Layered Armor” option, and heading to the Special segment.

In addition, the other new event quest available is called "A Fire to Jyuratodouse." It will place players against a crown-sized Jyuratodus. The rewards for completing this quest will be jewels, which in turn can be used to customize and power up the hunter's gear.

See the Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku Gabimaru and Sagiri SH Figuarts and Figuarts Mini Figures

Some Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku characters are being turned into figures, with Gabimaru and his executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri both being brought into the real world. Bandai announced each one will be turned into an SH Figuarts articulated figure and more static Figuarts Mini. There are no release dates yet, but we did get a 2023 release window.

Here's a closer look at all four figures in the official announcement. The Gabimaru and Sagiri SH Figuarts figures are posed together first in their two photographs. These show their articulation options. It also looks like Sagiri can sheath her sword when not using it. For the Figuarts Minis, the two characters stand alongside each other.

Saudi Arabia Bans Final Fantasy XVI

11 months 3 weeks ago

Final Fantasy XVI PC Saudi Arabia ban

One country will not be getting Final Fantasy XVI (FFXVI) when it launches later this year, as it is banned in Saudi Arabia. The Public Authority for Media has made an official statement. No reason was offered. [Thanks, Resetera and Glitched!]

The ESRB listed why Final Fantasy XVI received a "Mature" rating, as opposed to the series's usual "Teen." Reasons include sex scenes, torture scenes, drug use, prostitution, hate crimes, and sexual content. The Public Authority for Media did not pointed out what scene Square Enix refuses to compromise on. However, scenes for the game contain lots of violence, blood splatter, references to prostitution, partial nudity, and “a character caressing and straddling a man in bed.” Though the announcement was vague, only citing that Square Enix refuses to make necessary modifications to Final Fantasy XVI, we have seen Saudi Arabia ban other games for similar situations.

Preview: Harmony: The Fall of Reverie Needs Time to Breathe

11 months 3 weeks ago

Harmony The Fall of Reverie playtest review header

In its earliest hours, Harmony: The Fall of Reverie seems like a very well-constructed narrative adventure that places the flow of the story in the hands of the player. It offers a deeply interesting world, and combines sci-fi and fantasy in its dystopian tale. However, for such a narrative-heavy game, its characters and plot do not live up to its system and lore in an early build.

Editor's Note: The previewer played a portion of a pre-release beta build of the game and things might be different in the final version.

The story of Harmony: The Fall of Reverie focuses on Polly, who returns to her hometown of Atina following the mysterious disappearance of her mother. At the same time, she discovers that she has the power of clairvoyance. She accomplishes this through the Augural. She also gains access to another world called Reverie. In Reverie, personified Aspirations like Bliss, Power, and Truth reside. They give her advice on how to act in Brittle--the human world--in order to find her mother. At the same time, there is an ongoing conspiracy surrounding the mega-corporation MK and its plans to control the population of Atina, and it might be behind the disappearance of her mother.

Where Are the Wubbaboo in Honkai: Star Rail Signs of Fragmentum III

11 months 3 weeks ago

Scan that Wubbaboo, then turn around to scan the one floating near the bridge to get these two in Honkai: Star Rail “Signs of Fragmentum,” Difficulty III 3

For some reason, I found the Honkai: Star Rail “Signs of Fragmentum,” Difficulty III stage’s Wubbaboo to be the easiest ones to find. Like the second stage, there are five hidden around. The only real trial here is that some of the monsters are rather difficult, due to this being a recommended level 38 map. So even though you can’t access the overall map, the light panel puzzles and hidden Wubbaboo locations are pretty obvious.

The first Wubbaboo is right in the elevator shaft you step out of when the challenge begins. Just run around and look down. You should see the little buddy floating like in the screenshot below.

[gallery columns="1" size="full" ids="961844" link="file"]

The next two Wubbaboo are near the strong enemy across the bridge. One is hiding under the bridge, while the other is just past the light panel puzzle. However, because of the positioning, you can only get the one floating near the bridge after you finish that puzzle. Here’s that light panel solution:

[gallery columns="1" size="full" ids="961845" link="file"]

Scan that Wubbaboo, then turn around to scan the one floating near the bridge to get these two in Honkai: Star Rail “Signs of Fragmentum,” Difficulty III.

[gallery columns="2" size="full" link="file" ids="961848,961853"]

To get the next Wubbaboo and reach more enemies, you need to complete another light bridge. Again, this is a simple one.

In addition to showing the characters and Botan’s realization, it also highlights some new music. Gacha Exists in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

11 months 3 weeks ago

Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom gacha

It looks like there will be a gacha mini-game in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In an image that Nintendo shared on the The Legend of Zelda Twitter account, Link is standing in front of a gacha machine on top of a sky island. It’s unclear what purpose this gacha machine will serve.

Considering the game will cost $70 at launch, it is highly unlikely that there will be any real-life micro-transactions to spin the gacha. Link will likely need to use in-game items in order to play it. However, what kinds of items are available from the gacha machine are still unclear. The mini-map in the corner of the screen also shows Link’s position, which might give players an idea as to where they can access it in-game.

Jolyne Cujo Third Crystal Edition Figure Will Be at Anime Expo 2023

Jolyne Medicos Crystal Edition Figure

Medicos will unveil its Crystal Edition action figure of Jolyne Cujo Third from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean at Anime Expo 2023. A limited supply of the figures will be available at the con, which will run from July 1-4, 2023. It will also be available via lottery during WonFes Summer 2023.

In the past, Medicos released Crystal Edition figures of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure characters such as Cars. The Crystal Edition physically looks like a normal action figure, but there is an extremely limited amount. There were only eighty figure total for Cars, and they each had a serial number. The Cars figure ran for 40,000 JPY (around $295.60). While we do not yet know the price for the Jolyne Cujo Third Crystal Edition figure from Medicos, more information on the Stone Ocean item should come out closer to WonFes 2023 and Anime Expo.

See Cammy Beat Up a Truck in Street Fighter 6

Capcom offered another glimpse at what to expect from Street Fighter 6's Arcade mode, and the latest teaser showed Cammy taking on a truck. As people go through the mode, there will apparently be minigames akin to the ones in past Street Fighter games. Among them are ones beating up cars and hitting back at basketballs. There will also be changes to earn scores, then share them to place on a leaderboard.

Here's Capcom's latest Street Fighter 6 Arcade mode teaser starring Cammy and Guile. For the first part, Cammy is beating up a semi-trailer truck. After a point, she causes the hood and parts to fall off. After that, Guile is shown hitting basketballs being thrown at them to “counter” the attack. In his segment, he already countered 9 and is dealing with a remaining nine.
