Microsoft has announced its Xbox Digital Broadcast will be returning for Tokyo Game Show 2023 and will bring with it game updates from Xbox, Bethesda Softworks, and other creators who are mainly located in Japan and across Asia.
IGN Japan is also proud to be hosting a special in-person event at TGS that will feature interviews with Xbox's Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond, who will also be answering your questions!
IGN will be carrying the Xbox Digital Broadcast stream and, as usual, this watch guide will provide you with everything you need to know to watch the show, including when it starts, a list of places you can watch it with us, and what you can expect from the broadcast and the in-person event.
Xbox at Tokyo Game Show 2023 Start Time
The Xbox Digital Broadcast at Tokyo Game Show 2023 will take place on September 21, 2023, at 2am PT/5am ET/10am BST/6pm JST/7pm AEST.
In-Person Event With Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond: Start Time and Details
The special in-person Xbox event that is being hosted by IGN Japan will begin on Saturday, September 23, at 4:30pm JST with a special reception. As previously mentioned, Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond will be at the event and will be answering questions from fans about Xbox. There will also be a chance to meet other Xbox fans and get a commemorative photo.
The event will take place at TKP Garden City Makuhari [Banquet Building] Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall and will be limited to just 50 people. So if you are able to get to Tokyo and would like to attend this free event, please head over to this website to register before Tuesday, September 19, at 11:59pm JST.
For those who can't attend, there will be a livestream of the event on IGN Japan's YouTube channel on Saturday, September 23, beginning at 1:30am PT/4:30am PT/9:30am BST/5:30pm JST/6:30pm AEST.

What to Expect From Xbox at TGS 2023
The Xbox Digital Broadcast at Tokyo Game Show 2023 promises to bring updates on a variety of games from Xbox, Bethesda Softworks, and "creators predominantly located in Japan and across Asia." Microsoft is also promising to share new games that will be joining the Xbox Game Pass library.
We weren't given many more details about what to expect, but we do know many of the games that are in development at Xbox and Bethesda Softworks that may show up. Starfield obviously just launched, so there may be a push there or details about updates coming to the game.
We also know that Xbox Game Studios has a ton of teams hard at work on games, including Compulsion Games’ South of Midnight, The Initiative’s Perfect Dark, inXile’s Clockwork Revolution, Ninja Theory’s Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, Obsidian’s Avowed, Playground’s Fable, Rare’s Everwild, Turn 10’s Forza, and Undead Labs’ State of Decay, Mojang's Minecraft, Rare's Sea of Thieves, and more.
On the Bethesda side, ZeniMax Online Studios is continuing to support The Elder Scrolls Online and MachineGames is developing its Indiana Jones game. Bethesda also owns Japanese-based Tango Gameworks, and we have yet to learn more about its next project following Hi-Fi Rush, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and The Evil Within 1 and 2.
We were recently treated to the wonderful news that Final Fantasy 14 would be headed to Xbox consoles, so there may be a chance for that to show up. Who knows, maybe we'll get details about Final Fantasy 7 Remake or Final Fantasy 16 on Xbox after it was hinted even more Square Enix titles would find their way over to Xbox's consoles.
To get an idea of what to possible expect at the show, you can check out the recap of 2022's Xbox show at TGS, which featured the news that Deathloop was headed to Xbox Series X/S and such titles as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey , Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, Fuga: Melodies of Steel, and Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Remastered would be headed to Xbox Game Pass.
There were also updates given for Exoprimal, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, and more.
It's important to note these Xbox TGS shows usually aren't on the level of its E3 shows or events like The Game Awards, but there should be plenty of great news planned for Xbox fans around the world.
