Synduality Revealed at Sony's State of Play

Synduality, a new sci-fi third-person shooter from Bandai Namco, was announced at PlayStation's September 2022 State of Play.

In Synduality you team up with an AI partner, Magus, to "reclaim lost ground for humanity" in the remains of a ruined world where poisonous rain and dangerous creatures run amok. Drifters like the player character are the humans that brave it all in the name of collecting a rare resource called AO Crystals. According to a post on the PlayStation blog, the development team at Bandai Namco Entertainment is looking to explore how humans and AI interact and coexist with this sci-fi adventure.

Players can customize their Mecha's appearance and weapons over the course of the game. Synduality will also have a PvPvE online mode where players are challenged to clear missions and can potentially thwart one another's progress.

Synduality is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC in 2023. Tekken 8 was also officially revealed during the State of Play along with many other announcements. Catch them all in IGN's September 2022 State of Play news roundup.
