Super Mario RPG got a new gameplay trailer that showcased how the SNES classic game will look when its remake launches on Switch on November 17, 2023.

The gameplay trailer gave fans a glimpse at battles, bosses, combos, and much more. For one, it highlighted the timed button presses that will let you do more damage if you press the proper button at the exact time you attack your foe. You can also decrease your damage by pressing the proper button as your enemy attacks you.

We also got a glimpse of some of the combos characters will be able to perform, including Triple Moves that will let you attack with a mix of Mario, Bowser, Geno, Mallow, and more.

Lastly, it was confirmed you will be able to face-off against bosses after you fight them in Post-Game Boss Rematches. This will let you revisit your favorite battles from the game with these "bosses with colorful personalities" who will be even more challenging than before.

Super Mario RPG Remake wasn't the only older game in September's Nintendo Direct that is getting a new life on Switch, as it also joins the newly announced remaster of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, a remake of the original Mario vs. Donkey Kong game on GBA, the remasters of the first three Tomb Raider games, and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD.
