Stranded: Alien Dawn Is a New Survival Sim About a Community Marooned in Space

1 year 10 months ago

At Opening Night Live a new sci-fi sim game was announced from Frontier Foundry and Haemimont Games titled Stranded Alien Dawn.

Described as a planet survival sim, Stranded: Alien Dawn follows a community marooned on a deadly alien world. Haemimont, the developers of city builders like Surviving Mars, is promising a survival experience where players begin with nothing but the essentials to survival.

There will be illnesses to cure, extreme weather, and hostile alien life to combat. Harvest nearby resources and build a secure area for your group of survivors on the alien planet.

While defending your community is important, Stranded: Alien Dawn stresses the importance of caring for each member of the group. Utilize individual strengths and weaknesses to help the survivors thrive for the long term.

Stranded: Alien Dawn will arrive on PC as an early access title on Steam this October. For more from Gamescom Opening Night Live check out IGN's full rundown of new announcements.
