Rainbow Six Siege May Be Coming to Xbox Game Pass

A new tease may be hinting that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege may be headed to Xbox Game Pass in the near future. Xbox Game Pass on Twitter posted a medieval-looking image with no caption, but the image itself appears to be a tease for an upcoming announcement for Rainbow Six Siege, as it contains six rainbows and a siege-style weapon attacking a castle. Ubisoft has already confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege would be headed over to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with cross-generation multiplayer, so the timing of this reveal could be a good one with the consoles only a few weeks away. Screenshot_2020-10-18 Xbox Game Pass on Twitter This move could also be one more step closer to Rainbow Six Siege becoming free-to-play which, according to game director Leroy Athanassoff, is something the development team seemingly would want at some point. Rainbow Six Siege making it to Xbox Game Pass would also bring Splinter Cell's Sam Fisher back to Microsoft's console, as he was recently added as an operator by the name Codename Zero. Rainbow Six Siege was released in 2015 and has been supported and improved a ton over the years. We re-reviewed the game in 2018, and said "Rainbow Six Siege has grown into a much deeper competitive FPS that still rewards smart play as much as good aim."
