No Place for Bravery Is a Pixel Art Soulslike Launching This September - IGN Expo 2022

1 year 10 months ago

IGN Expo is pleased to announce that No Place for Bravery, a 2D pixel art game with Sekiro-inspired combat, will launch this September.

A new trailer reveals that No Place for Bravery will be available on PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG) and Nintendo Switch from September 22.

The 2D soulslike features fast combat that places a strong emphasis on parries, much like FromSoftware's Sekiro. As Thorn, you'll explore a wretched, grim world where death lurks behind every corner. Your journey to investigate your daughter's disappearance will see you accompanied by your disabled foster son, Phid. The concept promises themes of compassion and parental responsibility amidst the encrounching darkness, so perhaps we'll see parallels to God of War as well as Sekiro and Dark Souls.

No Place for Bravery was shown as part of the Guerrilla Collective back in 2020, and here on IGN developer Pedro Machado also walked us through how the game works.
