Ninja Gaiden returns with remasters of Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge as part of the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection announced for the Nintendo Switch. In these Team Ninja-developed games, you'll play as legendary ninja, Ryu Hayabusa, facing off against "a great evil with battle skills that are second to none." This was announced during today's Nintendo Direct. It will be released on June 10. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=ninja-gaiden-master-collection-reveal-screens&captions=true"] You'll wield an arsenal of killer weapons, each offering a different playstyle of unique skills. You'll need to quickly gauge your opponent's movements while unleashing your own fast and frenzied combos. Ninja Gaiden Sigma was originally released in 2007 for PlayStation 3. It is an enhanced port of Ninja Gaiden Black, which is itself an improved version of Ninja Gaiden and it incorporates many of the gameplay features found in Ninja Gaiden Black. This game, and its sequels, are known for being notoriously hard, much like the original Ninja Gaiden games. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 was developed in the same vein as Ninja Gaiden Sigma in so much as it is an enhanced port of Ninja Gaiden II. It was released in 2009 for PlayStation 3 and in 2013 for the PlayStation Vita, although it was released on the latter as Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge was released three years later in 2012 as an enhanced port of Ninja Gaiden 3.
