NBA 2K24 Features Kobe Bryant Version of Jordan Challenges: Mamba Moments

8 months 3 weeks ago

NBA 2K24 will feature a version of the famous Jordan Challenges focusing instead on cover star Kobe Bryant and his greatest basketball accomplishments.

As reported by Bleacher Report, the Mamba Moments mode will let players take on the role of Bryant during his 20-year career's most iconic games.

These include his then-record breaking 12 three-pointers game against the Seattle SuperSonics in 2003, the Game 7 victory over the Boston Celtics in the 2010 NBA Finals, and the 65-point performance against the Portland Trail Blazers in 2007.

Players can also recreate Bryant's 17 point fourth quarter in 2008, 48-point and 16 rebound game in 2001, 62-point three quarter performance in 2005, and legendary showdown with Jordan.

The Mamba Moments in NBA 2K24 follow on from the Jordan Challenges in 2K24 (and the original in 2K11) which focused on, of course, cover star Michael Jordan and his greatest moments.

Just as Jordan's number 23 jersey number netted him the cover of NBA 2K24, Bryant's appearance on the cover of NBA 2K24 most likely came as a result of his number 24 jersey, which he wore for most of his 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers.

In our 6/10 review of last year's game, IGN said: "NBA 2K24's on-court improvements should've led it to an easy layup, but the ever-present nuisance of pay-to-win microtransactions make it much harder to enjoy."
