Meta Quest Gaming Showcase 2023 Announced for June With 'Over 40 Minutes of Content'

The third annual Meta Quest Gaming Showcase has been announced for June 1, 2023, at 10am PT/1pm ET and it is set to feature "over 40 minutes of content" on upcoming VR releases.

Meta announced the news alongside a brief teaser video that includes a short clip of a mystery game that seems to take place in a desert and potentially shows Loki's helmet on the ground.

One of our favorite Meta Quest games is Asgard's Wrath and it, among other things, lets you hang out with everyone's favorite trickster god. There were no games mentioned in the announcement for 2023's Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, so this could possibly be teasing Asgard's Wrath 2, some sort of DLC, or something else entirely.

What Meta did promise, however, is that fans can expect "new game announcements, gameplay first-looks, updates to existing games, and more during the main event." In addition, this year's showcase will feature a brand-new pre-show beginning at 9:45am PT/12:45pm ET that will include even more "game updates and debut trailers."

For an idea of what to expect from this year's presentation, we encourage you to check out our recap of 2022's Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, which featured such VR titles as Ghostbusters VR, Resident Evil 4- The Mercenaries VR, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution, and more.
