Halo Infinite is set to release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC sometime in 2021 (see it on Amazon). While it was originally intended to be a launch title for Xbox Series X and S, the game was delayed so the developers at 343 Industries could add a few additional features and give it some extra polish.
The game takes place after the events of Halo 5, and starts with Master Chief floating in space, unsure of how he got there. The primary antagonists this time are The Banished, a group of baddies you may have met in Halo Wars 2. The developers say the campaign is "several times larger than our last two campaigns put together," meaning Halo 4 and 5. You can find a lot more details in our Halo Infinite preview.
As with all first-party Microsoft games, Halo Infinite will be available on day one for all Game Pass subscribers. If you'd like to purchase the game, you can already preorder it at several retailers. Here's everything you need to know to buy Halo Infinite.
