FIFA 21: Here's What Comes in Each Edition

EA has announced FIFA 21 is set to release for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 6, with the PS5 and Xbox Series X editions to follow at a later date. It will come in a variety of editions, the more expensive of which include more digital extras (you'll find full details below). The game is already available to preorder, so you can lock in a copy for yourself right now. The game also comes with a great perk for anyone planning to buy a next-gen console. Once the new consoles arrive, anyone who owns FIFA 21 for PS4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the PS5/Xbox Series X version for free. This works for both physical and digital copies of the game, but if you get the physical PS4 version, you'll need the disc drive model of PS5 to take advantage. (The future is complicated). Switch owners should also note that, as in previous years, the Switch version is the "legacy edition," which does not include things like Volta Mode or story mode. It's basically a lightly updated version of FIFA 18. To make matters worse, the Switch version also lacks any preorder bonuses.
