Exoprimal Gets New Trailer and July Release Date

1 year 1 month ago

Exoprimal — the team-based action game announced a year ago today at Sony's State of Play — finally has a release date. Today's Capcom Spotlight Showcase confirmed that Exoprimal will release on July 14.

Set in 2043, Expoprimal has players assuming the role of Exofdighters, that are fending off hordes of dinosaurs and mutated prehistoric creatures that appear in the modern world via mysterious vortexes.

Alongside a release date, Capcom confirmed that an open beta test will be released ahead of launch. The beta test will run from March 17 until March 19. The more interesting confirmation from the stream, however, is that Exoprimal will require a continuous internet connection to play.

Although the game is not related in any way to Dino Crisis, another Capcom IP pertaining to dinosaurs, Dino Crisis producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi is involved with the game's development.
