Assassin's Creed: Ubisoft Announces 'Celebration Stream' for Tomorrow

1 year 10 months ago

Ubisoft is hosting an "Assassin's Creed Celebration Livestream" tomorrow, June 14, in an announcement that may signal an impending announcement for Assassin's Creed Infinity — its upcoming game confirmed to be in development last year.

Ubisoft didn't offer any hints regarding the livestreams content, or even a runtime. Instead, the tweet simply reads, "Join us tomorrow as we celebrate Assassin's Creed!"

The stream will be hosted on Ubisoft's YouTube and Twitch channel at 9am PT / 6pm CET.

Assassin's Creed Infinity will reportedly an online platform that evolves over time and will include multiple historical settings — essentially a GTA Online or Fortnite for the series. Ubisoft confirmed that Assassin's Creed Infinity was indeed in development after the details leaked in late 2021, but otherwise has revealed little about the project.

The most recent game in the series was Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which released back in 2020. Its last big expansion was the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion, which appeared to conclude the entry's development.

Ubisoft's livestream comes on the heels of multiple major showcases, including Sunday's Xbox + Bethesda Showcase featuring Starfield and other major releases. Later today, Capcom will be hosting its own livestream, which is expected to include Resident Evil 4 Remake and other upcoming games.
