Modern Warfare 3 is out today, November 10, and already Activision has had to pull various multiplayer maps out of the game because of spawn points that were causing absolute carnage.
One map in particular, Quarry, when played on the Hardpoint game mode was found to spawn players in the same spot over and over again, letting the opposing team gun them down for fun.

But Activision hasnât just pulled Quarry from Hardpoint playlists for âunfavourable spawnsâ. Itâs also pulled Rundown and Scrapyard for the same reason. Then, Activision removed Karachi from the Cutthroat playlist âwhile we work to resolve an issue causing a player to spawn alongside enemiesâ.
Itâs not a great start for Modern Warfare 3âs multiplayer, which had a high-profile open beta last month. Overnight, a fresh report alleged Modern Warfare 3 was developed in a year-and-a-half rather than the typical three-year development cycle, leading to heavy development crunch within the studio.
Modern Warfare 3âs single-player campaign is similarly troubled. âUnderbaked, rehashed, and cobbled together from multiplayer parts, Modern Warfare 3âs single-player campaign is everything a Call of Duty story mode shouldnât be.â
