Xbox software slumps as hardware revenues grow

Microsoft has released its financial results for the first quarter of its financial year (three months ended Setpember 30, 2022), showing a slowdown in the Xbox content and services business offset by gains in hardware.

Revenue: $50.1 billion (up 11% year-on-year) Operating income: $21.5 billion (up 6%) Net income: $17.6 billion (down 14%)

While the economy at large may be in rough shape these days, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said the company is well positioned to succeed regardless.
