Further layoffs reportedly made at ByteDance in China

ByteDance reportedly laid off hundreds of staff in China at the end of the 2022, affecting employees in its games branch among others.

According to sources who talked to the South China Morning Post, the redundancies impacted TikTok's Chinese version, Douyin, as well as its gaming and real estate businesses.

Chinese publication Jiemian reported that collaboration platform Lark (known as Feishu in China) saw 10% of its workforce cut as part of the layoffs.
