Baldur's Gate 3's second patch "around the corner", targets Act 3 performance improvements and bugs

Baldur's Gate 3's second major patch is now live, bringing - as detailed earlier this week - major performance improvements with a particular focus on the rather wobbly Act 3, a "fiery, poignant" optional new ending for Karlach, the ability to dismiss co-op party members from a campaign via a magic wardrobe, plus a lengthy list of other fixes and improvements.

There's perhaps nothing quite as eye-catching as Baldur's Gate 3's recent penis cover-ups and gnome re-panting, but Patch 2 does, alongside its headline features, bring some welcome file size reductions, plus improvements across the likes of combat, spells, world interaction, UI, and controller support. A week after Baldur's Gate got its first major patch - bringing around 1,000 bug fixes among other things - developer Larian Studios has shared initial details on its next big batch of changes, fixes, and additions, which it says is "just around the corner".
