Season 2 of Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online has been announced with a new teaser trailer. Alongside the teaser, a new key visual of LLENN (also known as the Pink Devil and Karen Kohiruimaki in the real world) was revealed. The teaser confirmed that the second season has now started production. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
The first season of the SAO Alternative: Gun Gale Online anime released in Japan between April 8, 2018 and June 30, 2018, and it featured 12 episodes. There is no information on how many episodes the second season will have. The anime is based on a series of SAO spin-off light novels written by author Keiichi Sigsawa.

Additionally, the final promotional video celebrating the 10th anniversary of the SAO anime series has been released. The first season of the SAO anime released in Japan on July 8, 2012, and it is based on the series of light novels written by Reki Kawahara.

As a reminder, the next SAO game is Sword Art Online: Last Recollection, and it releases on October 5, 2023. The SAO games franchise is also celebrating 10 years of game projects on 2023.
Season 2 of Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online is currently under production. Season 1 is readily available on streaming services.
