Ryushen of Nijisanji has posted on their Twitter account that they will take a brief hiatus. However, they’ll return in April 2024.

The reasons behind the hiatus are unknown. Ryushen simply Tweeted that they will take a short break from streaming and that they will see everyone when they return. In the Tweet, they did say “I can’t do it anymore!” so they may be going on hiatus due to burnout.

Ryushen also mentioned something similar to this on their stream announcing their hiatus. For instance, they’ve been feeling oddly down lately and even eating good food was unable to get them out of the funk. All of the comments replying to their Tweet have been very supportive, telling them to take care.

Ryushen is a Nijisanji VTuber who was part of the first generation of SEEDs. Others from their generation include Sister Claire, Yashiro Kizuku, and Azuchi Momo. Azuchi, along with Yuki Chihiro, announced her graduation, which will take place on January 31, 2024. They made their debut in June 2018, and they currently have 689k subscribers on their YouTube channel.

Though Ryushen has a gaming channel, they mostly sing. For instance, they have had several endurance streams that lasted a total of 13 hours, during which they sang 500 songs.

Ryushen, a Nijisanji VTuber, will go on hiatus until April 2024 at the latest.
