Rainbow Six Siege Yakuza DLC

The Dragon of Dojima has been spending some time at the shooting range. A new batch of Yakuza crossover skins for Rainbow Six Siege is coming soon. Ubisoft is selling the Rainbow Six Siege Yakuza Bundle, which adds cosmetic skins for two characters from the Yakuza series for the game's existing Japanese Operators. The DLC arrives in-game on May 24, 2022.

Check out a trailer for the bundle below.

The Rainbow Six Siege Yakuza skins are meant for the characters Echo and Hibana. The two Operators are described as members of Japan's Special Assault Team counter-terrorism unit. They joined the playable roster in 2016 as part of Operation Red Crow, the game's fourth free expansion. Echo flies a pair of hovering drones that can stick to surfaces and disorient foes with ultrasonic bursts. Hibana is equipped with a special launcher weapon that fires breaching pellets that can be detonated remotely to bust through reinforced walls.

Echo gets a skin replicating Kazuma Kiryu's iconic grey suit and red shirt, as well as a cosmetic that decorates his MP5SD submachine gun with a design like Kiryu's back tattoo. Hibana gets a skin that makes her look like Kaoru Sayama from Yakuza 2. Kaoru was the lead detective of the Osaka police department's 4th Division and played a major role in Yakuza 2, and appeared again in Yakuza 3. Hibana also gets a weapon skin for the Type-89 assault rifle that outfits it with a Japanese police badge. The trailer also ends with a tease for another Rainbow Six Yakuza DLC bundle, with a silhouette and voice familiar to any Yakuza fan: That of Goro Majima. This Majima bundle will also arrive as an Elite Skin for Echo but doesn't have a firm release date.

The first wave of Rainbow Six Siege Yakuza DLC arrives on May 24, 2022. The game is available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia, and Xbox Series X|S. Yakuza series developer RGG Studio is working on a sequel to Yakuza: Like A Dragon, as well as new IP.
