A pop-up store based on the live-action adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho will appear in Japan from December 2023 to February 2024. It’ll be available in Yurakucho Marui and Nanba Marui.
You’ll first be able to find the Yu Yu Hakusho live-action adaptation pop-up store at the Yurakucho Marui from December 16, 2023 to January 8, 2024. Afterwards, you’ll be able to catch it at the Nanba Marui. It’ll be there from February 10 to 18, 2024.
All of the items use the promotional images of the four main characters staring at the viewer. Items that you’ll be able to purchase, along with their prices in JPY, are:
- Acrylic keyholders: 550 JPY
- Acrylic stand: 1650 JPY
- A4 clear folder: 550 JPY
- Calendar (desk): 1650 JPY
- Calendar (poster): 1320 JPY
- Can badges: 440 JPY
- Collectible cards: 330 JPY
- Stickers: 550 JPY
- T-Shirt: 3300 JPY
If you purchase over 2200 JPY worth of merchandise in one transaction, you’re eligible for a free random postcard. Also, if you have an Epos Card and purchase over 3000 JPY worth of goods, you can get a free collectible card.
Though over thirty years have passed since Yu Yu Hakusho started serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump, this is the first time that the story has appeared in a live-action format. The anime and manga series follows Yusuke Urameshi, a delinquent who dies after uncharacteristically saving a child from getting hit by a car. In exchange for coming back to life, he becomes a detective for the Spirit World.
The Yu Yu Hakusho live-action adaptation will air on Netflix on December 14, 2023.
