Pokemon DP Sound Library Lets People Use Diamond and Pearl Music

The Pokemon Company international announced a means of listening to and using Pokemon Diamond and Pearl music. The Pokemon DP Sound Library is now available online. This includes access to the soundtrack from the game. It means people can use both its sound effects and songs in playlists or their own mixes.

The official Pokemon DP Sound Library site offers different means of accessing the tracks. If you head to the Music Box, you can directly access the 149 Pokemon Diamond and Pearl songs and sound effects. These can be viewed in groups based on topics like iconic locations, characters, and events. You can save six to a list to make a “party track.” There are also pre-made playlists with Adventurous, Challenge, Power-up, and Relax themes. While you can share the songs online, you can't download any of the items.

The site also will offer examples of creations from other people. Only one is available at the moment. EXILE’s Alan Shirahama’s “On My Way to Glory” is a track that samples songs used in the Pokemon Center and in Trainer Battles.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are available on the Nintendo DS. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are available on the Nintendo Switch.
