One Piece Bon Bon Bon Journey Shut Down

One Piece Bon Bon Journey will shut down on April 6, 2022. This includes the Japanese and global version of the game. Players will still be able to purchase in-game currency until March 7, 2022. However, they will only be able to use this currency until One Piece Bon Bon Journey shuts down. The exact time the game will shut down will vary by country. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Bandai Namco did not provide a specific reason as to why the mobile title will be shutting down. Instead, the company has posted an end of service notice through its official website, with more information regarding the closure provided in-game. The title was confirmed for development in Japan in 2019. It subsequently received a worldwide release in March 2020.

One Piece Bon Bon Journey is a match-3 puzzle title. Various characters from the One Piece series appear. This includes Sanji, Luffy, Nami, and Zoro. The title featured stylized versions of these popular characters. Players can also customize their individual islands with various accessories. While the game is entirely free-to-play, it does have microtransactions in the form of paid currency.

One Piece Bon Bon Journey is available for Android and iOS devices. It will shut down on April 6, 2022.
