All of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 characters appear in a new official wallpaper designed to celebrate its fifth anniversary

December 1, 2022 is the fifth anniversary of Xenoblade Chronicles 2's debut, and Monolith Soft shared wallpaper of all its major characters as a "gift." While the focus are on the heroines Pyra and Mythra, all of the heroes are there. This continues a trend of the developer sharing art on special occasions.

First, here's the main Xenoblade Chronicles 2 5th anniversary wallpaper with all of the major characters. Pyra and Mythra are front and center. Dromarch, Tora, Pandoria, and Zeke are behind Mythra on the left. Azurda, Rex, Nia, and Poppi are in the middle. Vandham, Roc, Morag, and Brighid are on the right behind Mythra.

Here are the smartphone and tablet versions of the wallpaper. That changes the perspective a bit. All of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 characters are still there. Dromarch, Vandham, and Roc appear at the back, with Azurda below Vandham. Pandoria, Nia, Rex, Poppi, and Morag are below them. Then, toward the bottom of the art, Zeke, Tora, and Brighid show up.

As a reminder, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 debuted back on December 1, 2017. The base game follows Rex after he finds the legendary Blade Pyra. After she saves his life, Rex and his friends work to bring her, the Aegis, back to Elysium. Along the way, they deal with a group called Torna and attempt to keep them from destroying the world. Following the main game’s release, an Expansion Pass added additional adventures and offered insight into Torna’s actions with Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is available for the Nintendo Switch.
