Natsu-Mon Natsumon! Boku no Natsuyasumi

For your summer vacation, you're going back in time. The latest Switch game to be announced in the Boku no Natsuyasumi (My Summer Vacation) game series is Natsu-Mon. Its formal Japanese title is Natsumon! 20-Seiki no Natsuyasumi (Natsu-Mon: Summer Vacation in the 20th Century). It was announced during the Japanese version of Nintendo's February 8, 2023 Direct broadcast.

The Natsu-Mon narrator lays a young child's summer plans. The kid was wakes up, eats breakfast, gets some exercise at the temple, and catches bugs. They also go fishing catch bugs, and do all manner of things available on a small Japanese island town.

Given the title and general aesthetic of the trailer, Natsu-Mon appears to be set at an earlier time in the 20th century. Judging by the state of and technology, it's almost certainly set during the late Showa era, which ended in 1989.

Natsu-Mon is in development for the Nintendo Switch and will launch in Japan during the Summer 2023 season. Other platforms have not yet been announced. Another Boku no Natsuyasumi title was localized for the Switch, Shin-Chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation.
