MOVeLOT is in the midst of creating a mecha lover’s dream: a boardable and pilotable Ingram from the Patlabor series. The company will start posting about development status from January 2024. A public reveal of the robot will take place some time in Summer 2024 if everything goes according to plan. [Thanks, KaroshiMyriad!]

Patlabor is a Japanese science fiction franchise. It includes a manga, a TV series, two OVA series, and two light novel series. It is episodic in nature, taking place in the “near future” of the late 1990s and early 2000s. People use giant robots called "Labors" in fields such as construction. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police also employ its own Patrol Labors to deal with crime. The Ingram model was the Patlabor most commonly seen in the series.

There’s not much information yet from MOVeLOT’s press release or website in regards to the development of the real-life Ingram. However, it states that if you follow its Instagram or Twitter accounts, you’ll be able to keep up with its production status. You’ll also be able to put your name into a future lottery in which you can visit MOVeLOT’s factory as part of a tour.

MOVeLOT will start updating its social media on the production of its boardable and pilotable Ingram from Patlabor in January 2024. A reveal should take place in Summer 2024.
