McDonald's Japan Spy x Family Collaboration

McDonald’s in Japan teased a collaboration with the popular Spy x Family manga and anime series. A post shared by the company’s official social media account included an image of Anya Forger’s hair. The Japanese caption “odekeke surumasu” (which roughly translates to “going on an ooting”) is included, referencing Anya’s bad grammar in the series.

At the time of writing, there are no details on what food items or goods will be included with the new crossover. More information will appear at a later date.

This is not the first collaboration with a fast food restaurant chain involving the Spy x Family series. On November 2022, Burger King Japan opened a store inspired by the fictional city of Berlint in Shibuya, Tokyo. The store was furnished with Spy x Family decoration, and food items inspired by the series were offered.

McDonald’s Japan often holds collaborations featuring popular anime and manga series. Some of which include the first ever McDonald’s collaboration with the One Piece series, a Nijisanji collaboration held on June 2023, and the most recent being an August 2023 collaboration with the Pokemon franchise that included Pokemon themed summer festival Happy Meal toys.
