Kamen Rider Black Sun Release

Toei announced that the Kamen Rider Black Sun series has finished filming and will release sometime in Fall 2022. Additionally, the official website released new images of the titular Black Sun as well as Shadow Moon. Director Kazuya Shiraishi also commented on the series wrapping up production. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Kamen Rider Black Sun is a reboot of the original 1987 tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Black. The story follows stepbrothers Kohtaro Minami and Nobuhiko Akizuki who both become Kamen Rider Black Sun and Shadow Moon, respectively. Kamen Rider Black was one of the most popular shows of its time, and received a manga adaptation as well as a direct sequel.

Toei and Ishimori Productions co-announced the series reboot in April 2021. Since then, Toei has released various images of Kamen Rider Black Sun's design. These latest screenshots reveal the design of Shadow Moon for the first time, as well as images of the Black Sun's Road Sector.
