JP Games has announced development on its new RPG project, Shallah. It will be about a love story between a human and a goddess, and take inspiration from One Thousand and One Nights. [Thanks, PR Times!]
According to JP Games, it will be a cutting-edge “adult” RPG about themes of life and death. Aside from the love story, it will also feature battles that use magic and sorcery. Shallah will have a worldwide release, though there is no information yet in regards to the consoles. The first key visual from the game shows a city lit up under the moon, with many clouds. The city itself has a Middle Eastern look to it.
This is a collaborative work between JP Games and Quantum Solutions, which is a company that focuses on developing AI and selling hardware. Quantum Solutions offered to help JP Games with Shallah, which, according to CEO Hajime Tabata, was in development for a long time. JP Games is in charge of planning the game and developing it. It will use Pegasus World Kit, which is a middleware it produced in 2021, to create Metaverses to develop Shallah. Quantum Solutions will help to support JP Games in the game’s design, such as in its worldview. It will also own the IP.
Shallah is currently in development.
