God of War Ragnarok Release Date

God of War: Ragnarok will release sometime in November, according to a report from Bloomberg. The report suggested that an expected release date will be announced sometime within June 2022. However, it did not offer a specific time frame during which this announcement could occur. [Thanks, Bloomberg!]

Originally planned for a 2021 release, the title was delayed due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19. Updates on it appeared infrequently at game-related events.

A teaser for God of War: Ragnarok was released in 2020. It revealed the God of War logo set with Norse runes. God of War: Ragnarok will expand upon the story of Kratos and Atreus, with Thor expected to appear at some point within the narrative. As Thor appeared in the ending of God of War 2018 as a potential teaser for what is to come.

In September 2021, a trailer for God of War: Ragnarok appeared at the PlayStation 5 Showcase in 2021. This featured a look at returning characters, and how Atreus will appear in the title. Various environments were also shown, such as a snowy tundra and a more vibrant river city.

God of War: Ragnarok is scheduled to released on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2022. Players wanting to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version will be charged a $10 fee.
