A knitted plush of Red XIII as he appears in Final Fantasy VII Remake is available for purchase via the official Square Enix store. The adorable hand-knitted dolls cost $37.99.
The collectible is now available for pre-order and will come out sometime in August 2024. According to the description via the Square Enix site, the Red XIII plush can serve as decoration in your house and is also an excellent gift for collectors or fans of Final Fantasy.
Since it’s made of yarn, it’s very soft to hold and hug. For reference, the only material that Square Enix lists on its site for this plush is “polyester,” which should give an idea of how it feels. You can get a closer look at the doll in the image below:
Red XIII first appeared in Final Fantasy VII Remake in the latter half of the game. Kappei Yamaguchi (Inuyasha from Inuyasha, Teddie from Persona 4) voices him in Japanese. Meanwhile, Max Mittelman (Ryuji in Persona 5, Atsushi in Bungo Stray Dogs) voices him in English. He will also appear in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth as a fully playable character. He was originally only a guest member in Remake.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released exclusively on the PS5 on February 29, 2024. Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available on the PS4, PS5, and Windows PC.
