AmiAmi is now accepting pre-orders for the Evangelion Beastbox Kabuto-Eva set, which depicts the EVA units 00, 01, and 02 as transformable beetles. The set is available to order from the AmiAmi online shop and is expected to release sometime in February, 2024.
The set includes all three EVA units, as well as a standee, container, and a card for each. The set currently costs ¥11,220 (approximately $76). Each of the models has a different horn, with unit 00 resembling that of a Stag beetle, 01 resembling a Hercules beetle, and 02 having the distinctive two-pronged horn of a Rhinocerous beetle. The beetles are articulated with deployable wings, or can be folded into a cube and stored in the accompanying square container.

Other Evangelion merch released recently includes a toy replica of the knife from Evangelion Progressive, which plays Shinji and Misato voice lines, and a line of clothing and accessories from Graniph. Evangelion characters also featured in the Stardance Parade in Yokohama in late December, 2023, where they were depicted by illuminated flying drones.
